![]() The first really nice connection is the interface with the Elecraft K3. Just click on the image to see it full size with more detail visible. I’ve included a couple of full screen shots of many of the RUMLog windows I use routinely. No need to type them all in a second time. I’m still getting used to RUMLog, but so far I really like it. If you decide to go with macloggerdx then simply export an adif file. My suggestion is to start loading your contacts with RUMlogNG anyway. There’s a lot more that I love, but I’m sure you can investigate it on your own and make an assessment. iCloud syncing between Mac, ipad, and iPhone. pulls data from qrz (if you’re a qrz xml subscriber) and shows a call’s location on a map as soon as you type it in, as well as populates common metadata from qrz. utilizes osx’s dark mode settings -utilizes the Touch Bar on MacBooks, if you have it. It helps the interface look clean and tailors the order to the way that helps you find recent qso’s easily. What I like: -you can re-arrange and choose which details the main logging list shows. My Sunday night routine is to make an ADIF of my new qso’s from the week and upload it to both qrz and qsoMap. Unfortunately it doesn’t upload to QRZ, but you can simply export to an ADIF file every week or so and upload it. RUMlogNG: It is extremely simple to upload new QSO’s to LOTW and eQSL - it’s not automatic but only takes 2-3 clicks and gives you confirmation that it was successful or let’s you know if there are any issues/dupes. I preferred to spend the $100 on radio hardware instead of software at the time. I downloaded macloggerdx and after a few minutes realized that it seems to do over 95% of the same things as RUMlogNG, but for a hefty price. ![]() I haven’t used macloggerdx longer than what the trial gave me, so I can’t compare in-depth, but I chose to go with RUMlogNG and absolutely love it. You can find out more on the RUMlogNG user forum as well as on their Facebook group page.
